Fujian Xiamen Shipping Corporation,China is equipped with rather mature facilities for coastal passenger transportation,its subsidiary,Xiamen Lunzong Nautical Passenger Transportation & Tourism Co.,Ltd has so far been the largest in the trade in Fujian Province.Besides,The company also owns 16 ships of various sizes for coastal and offing passenger transportation and tourism,and one muti-functional passenger dock.In addition to its long-term offing passenger transportation along ports between Xiamen and Jiulong River,the company manager to develop businesses such as nautical sightseeing round-Island,round-Gulangyu,and trips to Longhai,Jimei,or Lujiang night tour.It has been the only shipping company of Mainland China that has been authorized for direct passenger transportation to Jinmen.On Feb 6,2001,the passenger ship"Gulangyu" became the first ship to navigate from Mainland to Jinmen over a lapse of half a century when its direct shipping was approved by the authorities.
